Boulder Media is a multi-award winning Irish animation company based in Dublin. One of Ireland’s largest animation studios, it has produced many great shows for Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, BBC and Disney, including Wander Over Yonder for Disney, and Go Jetters and Danger Mouse for BBC.
Great news at Boulder Media as Go Jetters picks up a BAFTA nomination for Best Preschool Animation.
The geography based TV series follows the plucky quartet of heroes Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz as they travel the world with their teacher, mentor and friend, Ubercorn – a funky disco-grooving unicorn.
A collaboration between Giant Animation and Boulder Media for the BBC. Go Jetters airs on the CBeebies channel.
Check out the super fun Go Jetters’ website where you and your friends can star in your own Go Jetters sequence. We had a lot of fun with that!
A huge shout out to our very charitable friends at the Animation Art Show who raised a whopping €20,600 from this years auction!!
Half the money raised went to each of its very deserving recipients the ISPCC and The Jack and Jill Foundation.
The ISPCC provide an invaluable service to vulnerable children in Ireland but this service is in a state of crisis and urgently needs your help.
Due to a lack of funding Childline are being forced to close its services for 5hrs a night even though nights can prove so challenging for young sufferers of abuse or mental health issues.
The charity estimates that 45,000 night time calls could go unanswered next year if it is forced to stop the service so the Childline Emergency Appeal “SaveChildline24” still desperately needs your support.
Donations can be made online by clicking here or by texting CHILDLINE to 57911 (texts cost €4 and a minimum of €3.20 will go directly to Childline)
The Jack and Jill Foundation will see 600 hours of care for a sick child with a qualified Jack and Jill nurse from the money raised by the auction and unfortunately there are many children in need of this care.
Please take a moment to have a look at their website here to find out more about the great work they do.
Both are such worthy causes that need our continued help and support so for other ways to donate or raise money please check out their websites.
It’s a great piece about the Irish animation industry and definitely worth a listen.

Like all of the Irish animation industry we here at Boulder were saddened to hear about the death of the legendary animator and director Jimmy Murakami last Sunday.
He truly was a huge force in the foundation of the Irish Animation industry we know today and has influenced and inspired the animation community and will go on doing so long after his passing.
He will be sadly missed.
