We are delighted to announce that Fresh Cut Grass has been nominated for an IFTA and will duke it out against some stiff competition from Cartoon Saloon and Brown Bag in the Animation category!

Brill news for Boulder as both Fresh Cut Grass and Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja have bagged nominations in next months inaugural Irish Animation Awards in Dingle.
Fresh Cut Grass scooped a nomination in the Best Animated Short category and Randy Cunningham in the Kids Choice Best Animated Series category.
And as if the studio isn’t excited enough one of our current animators Thomas Young and former animators Anita Gaughan have both been nominated in the Best Student Film category for their films “Daisy Chain” and “Vertical Horizons”, jaysus we’re a talented bunch!
The Awards take place on the 13th March in conjunction with the Dingle Film Festival so if you want to find out more about the nominations or all the brilliant things happening in Dingle that week check the details here:

Fresh Cut Grass had a busy week last week.
Not content with just making its German premiere at the Berlin Independent Film Festival it then popped over to Delhis NOIDA International Film Festival 2015 and promptly scooped up the Best Animation Jury prize!

Next stop is the Byron Bay International Film Festival in sunny Australia next month.

Happy Fresh Cut Grass news as the little beauty scooped up the “Best Animation” award at last Saturdays 3rd Annual Delhi Shorts International Film Festival!
The film will continue it’s mini globe trot with an appearance at The UK Film Festival taking place in Shoreditch London from the 17th to 21st November.
The Fresh Cut Grass screening takes place on Thursday the 20th at the Electric Cinema Shoreditch but details of all the other screenings can be found here.
Then like a true jetsetter it heads back Stateside for an appearance at the 23rd Annual St Louis International Film Festival on Sunday the 23rd November, click here to see what else is happening in St Louis for the fest.
Fingers crossed the film does well and gains a few new international fans!
So it’s just been announced Fresh Cut Grass has been shortlisted for the “Best Irish Short Film” category in this years DAFF 2014 Awards.
The category poses some stiff competition in the shape of “Deadly” by Aidan McAteer, “The Ledge End of Phil (From Accounting)” by Cartoon Saloon and “Coda” by Boulder newbie Alan Holly (Maps and Plans).
The award ceremony takes place on Saturday the 18th October at the Pavillion Theatre Dun Laoghaire and all of the above will be eligible for the Audience Choice Award so pssssttt …… vote for us!

It’s almost Fingal Film Festival time again and this year you get lots of Boulder action with a screening of our very beautiful (if I do say so meself!) short film “Fresh Cut Grass” at the Animation Workshop led by Boulder Boss Rob Cullen.
